CAKE SALE

MANY THANKS TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED TO MAKING OUR RECENT CAKE SALE A HUGE SUCCESS.  WE RAISED €1,211 WHICH WILL GO TO THE LOCAL FIVE LOAVES HOMELESS CHARITY IN BRAY.  A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MS. FARREN FOR CO-ORDINATING THE 2ND AND 3RD YEAR STUDENT COUNCILS WHO ORGANISED THE EVENT.  THIS EVENT WAS RUN AS PART OF THE ‘SPIRIT OF PRES’ WEEK.

MARTIN BEATTY  – IN MEMORIAM

  Martin Beatty was born with a disability and spent his early days in an orphanage in Tuam. He was transferred as a child to the St. John of God Brothers in St Augustine’s, Blackrock, Co Dublin where he lived up to the age of 25, when work was found for him in Presentation College, Bray. He gave great service in both the Brothers House and the College in Bray for 40 years (1962-2003) as a general helper. CAO INFORMATION EVENING for 6TH YEAR PARENTS

Mr. Donnelly, Guidance Counsellor at the College will be hosting a CAO information evening on Tuesday 22nd November 2016 @ 6p.m. for parents of students currently in 6th year.  The presentation will take place in the canteen area of the college.  He will be discussing and explaining all matters relating to the CAO, DARE, and HEAR schemes, the new points system and key strategies for study and learning. Brother Patrick Terence Hurley FPM  – R.I.P.

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Br. Terence’s passing.  Br. Terence will be fondly remembered by many of our past pupils and teaching staff.  He was a teacher of Maths here in the College from 1976 until he became Prinicpal in 1980.  He served as Principal until 1985. 5TH YR IMMERSION TRIP TO GHANA
