TY MUSICAL 2017

Our annual TY musical in association with Loreto Bray takes place this week in the Mermaid Theatre, Civic Centre Bray.  Opening night is Wednesday 22nd November and continues through to Saturday.  The production this year is High School Musical and promises to be a fun filled lively energetic show.  Best wishes to all taking part both onstage and backstage. CAKE SALE IN AID OF FIVE LOAVES HOMELESS CHARITY

European Parliament – Competition

The above video clip is Presentation College, Bray’s entry into the competition “Why Young People should vote in Europe”  This competition is run by the European Parliament Information Office.  The main purpose of the project is to get students thinking about European democracy and active citizenship as some of them will vote for the first time in the European Elections in 2019. Huge Congratulations to our 5th yr Student Minecraft Group who gained 2nd place in the HackAcess Dublin event at Google HQ at the weekend This was a hackathon event bringing Dublin’s innovators from various disciplines like engineering, technology, design and public service together to tackle various challenges that exclude people with a disability from society . PEANUT ALLERGY & LUNCH BOXES

We have an increasing number of students presenting with different types of allergies and one of the most prevalent is Peanut Allergy. As you are aware this can be extremely dangerous and life threatening for some people. To this end we are asking parents to refrain from putting peanut butter and nuts into your son’s lunch box. A recent incident where a student was standing beside another who had peanut butter for his lunch resulted in an allergic reaction for that student.
